Free and open to the public on a first come, first served basis. Each class meets for about an hour. Space at each class is limited. Arrive early and pick up a number at the desk. Students may be asked for current photo ID proving he/she is 16 years or older to participate.

Personal Computer (PC) Basics
This fundamental class, or equivalent experience on PCs, is recommended before enrolling in our other classes. This introductory class covers the most basic personal computing principles: the parts of the PC, the desktop display, customizing the screen, and using the mouse.
Internet for Beginners
Mastery of PC Basics is recommended before taking this course. Ideal for those who want to begin using the internet, this class will cover the basics of accessing the World Wide Web and using an internet browser to find information.
Facebook & Social Networking
Previous experience on the Internet is recommended before taking this course. When people use the internet to meet, communicate and share with others it is call social networking. Social networkers use chat, messaging, email, video, voice chat, file sharing, blogging, and discussion groups to express themselves, to connect with family and to make friends. Our class will explore social networking on the web through sites like facebook.com and see why it is so popular throughout the world today.
Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint
Knowledge of PC Basics, or equivalent experience on PCs, is recommended before taking this course. Learn how to make simple presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. This class will teach the basics of creating slide shows, the standard for informational, business and classroom presentations.
iPads, Smartphones, and Nooks, Oh My!
This class will look at various mobile devices such as iPads, smartphones, Nooks & Kindles, and Android tablets, and will demonstrate some common features of mobile technology. Bring your device and ask any questions that have been stumping you about it!
Cut, Copy & Paste with Words and Images
Previous experience on the Internet and basic ability on Microsoft Word is recommended before taking this course. This class will explore the editing commands cut, copy & paste, and how to use them with text and images in Microsoft Office programs like Word and PowerPoint. Copying and pasting from the Internet will be covered. Students will learn how to do a screen capture and how to combine text and images on the same page.
